27 and 28 May Franco-German Short Film Rendezvous in Strasbourg

On 27 and 28 May the 11th Franco-German Short Film rendezvous will take place in Strasbourg. Since 2009 the AG Kurzfilm is partnered with the organisers - Video Le beaux Jours (Strasbourg) und Goethe-Institute (Nancy) - for the second time. This year, the ten participating films were selected by means of a call for entries to film schools and film classes. Besides Germany and France a third nation was included as a guest – in this year Poland.
The selected films will be screened in the presence of all directors in the cinema hall of the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Strasbourg on 27 May.

The participating films from Germany are:
•    JANEK by Piotr J. Lewandowski
•    HOME GAME by Bogdana Vera Lorenz
•    DRIVING ÉLODIE by Lars Henning
•    FORMIC by Florian Wittman and Roman Kälin

On the following day there will be a workshop for the filmmakers at the ARTE headquarters. There will be a discussion about all the films of the Franco-German Short Film Rendezvous. The directors will have the chance to exchange opinions about production methods and to reflect on their own work. The exchange will be supported by simultaneous translation. Thus, ideal conditions for a fruitful dialogue between the attending participants, directors, professionals and students are created.
