As part of this year's Berlinale (February 15-25, 2024), AG Kurzfilm - German Short Film Association is once again working to strengthen the public perception of German short films at home and abroad and to network the short film scene. Under the umbrella of German Films, AG Kurzfilm will be presenting its current project portfolio at its stand at the European Film Market (February 15-21, 2024), which is aimed at industry representatives as well as filmmakers, producers, distributors and festivals.

German productions in the festival program
A total of 20 German short film productions will be presented in various sections of the Berlinale. The Berlinale Shorts section features five works: PACIFIC VEIN by Ulu Braun, STADTMUSEUM / MOI RAI by Boris Dewjatkin, the German-Austrian co-production TAKO TSUBO by Fanny Sorgo and Eva Pedroza, UNGEWOLLTE VERWANDTSCHAFT by Pavel Mozhar and Kolja Volkmar and THAT'S ALL FROM ME by Eva Könnemann. PORZELLAN by Annika Birgel can be seen in the Generation Kplus children's film section. Three works are screening in Forum Expanded: the German-Turkish production DETOURS WHILE SPEAKING OF MONSTERS by Deniz Şimşek, I DON'T WANT TO BE JUST A MEMORY by Sarnt Utamachote and THE PERFECT SQUARE by Gernot Wieland. The compilation film ELF MAL MORGEN: BERLINALE MEETS FUSSBALL by Maximilian Bungarten, Anna-Maria Dutoit, Kilian Armando Friedrich, Indira Geisel, Eva Gemmer, Felix Herrmann, Hannah Jandl, Justina Jürgensen, Hilarija Ločmele, Daniela Magnani Hüller, Sophie Mühe, Camille Tricaud and Marie Zrenner, which consists of eleven documentary short films, can be seen in the Berlinale Special section.

New films in the short film catalog "German Short Films"
Just in time for the film markets in Clermont-Ferrand and Berlin, the AG Kurzfilm has included current films in its short film catalog "German Short Films". New films are added to the short film catalog three times a year: at the beginning of the year, in the spring and in the fall. The first 26 films of the new year can be found here. Professionals can view the current selection of films online after registering in advance.

The popular festival calendar, which provides a compact overview of important national and international festival dates for 2024, is also available to download digitally and as an updated iCal file to integrate into your personal calendar. If you don't want to do without the analog calendar (as of December 2023) in your office, you can pick it up at the AG Kurzfilm European Film Market stand or order it from the AG Kurzfilm office while stocks last.
