A cycling accident brings Henning and Elli, who is confined to a wheelchair, together. Before long they are in the throes of an intense and passionate love affair. Henning is attracted by the young woman's unusual and direct way and soon falls in love with her. When he pays her a surprise visit, however, he discovers that Elli has been faking her disability all along.
